Alien Skin is entangled in a legal battle over the ownership of the Fangone Forest brand, the name closely associated with his music label and fan base.
According to documents from the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), the label name Fangone Forest Entertainment Ltd was officially registered and trademarked under a businessman identified as Agumiikiriza Aguma Aaron.
Records indicate that Aguma registered the company in November 2023, offering music-related services, a period after Alien Skin’s rise to fame and the establishment of his “Fangone Forest” movement.
Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana, has since challenged the registration and is exploring legal avenues to reclaim ownership of the name.

The artist wrote to URSB contesting the ownership, and on 15th October 2025, the bureau responded, asking him to provide supporting evidence within 42 days proving that he is the rightful owner of the Fangone Forest brand.
In his defense, Aguma filed an affidavit claiming he has used the name Fangone Forest since 2011, long before Alien Skin’s emergence on the music scene. He further stated that he has produced over 200 projects for more than 50 clients, and clarified that his office is located in Lubowa, not Makindye.
