Girls in Kasese have been advised to learn various vocational skills that will help them become independent and avoid being deceived by men who end up ruining their lives. This was said by Mrs. Penina Patience the team leader for World of Hope Foundation in Kasese Municipality. Penina also indicated they train girls in various skills of making necklaces, bracelets, shoes, bangos and carions. She further said that they train girls on how to make sanitary pads for their hygiene and continuity in school without any fear of being in menses of every month. Speaking to Masika Meresi also indicated that these training sessions they have continued to give to young girls has helped them to be independent and not to be deceived by men and boys.
