Kasese district celebrated Christmas under tight security as authorities deployed heavily at worship centers, particularly in border areas, to prevent any potential rebel activities.
The heightened measures aimed to ensure safety and peaceful celebrations amidst lingering security threats from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels operating near the Uganda-DRC border.
Speaking during the celebrations, Bwera Division Police Commander Tai Ramadhan highlighted the importance of vigilance, noting that the police were fully committed to maintaining peace and harmony.
