The President of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Mr. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine, has urged Ugandans to always fight for their rights and expose evil leaders who attempt to silence the power of the people.

This was echoed during the sendoff and funeral ceremony of NUP female activist Marinos Alexandros today afternoon in Kisagazi, Kasese Municipality.

Kyagulanyi narrated that many have been tortured for nothing, which he described as similar to what led to the death of Marinos.

He urged mourners not to give up in retrieving the power that belongs to the people.

While addressing the mourners, the preacher he reminded them to always prepare their souls for a better place in heaven, as no one can escape death. “The living should die in the Lord,” he said.

In a recorded video that went viral, the deceased Marinos was shown being abducted, tortured, and sexually assaulted in 2022 for playing Bobi Wine’s music.

She later went into exile but returned to Uganda while ill, leading to her untimely death.

May her soul rest in eternal peace!
