The Church of Uganda Archbishop’s explanation comes after the long waited meeting between opposition leaders and IRCU was held on 22nd of January 2024 at IRCU head offices in Mengo – Kampala.
Mugalu said that the first time the opposition leaders wanted to reach out to the IRCU, it did not go through the proper channels and that in stead of them writing to the coordinating office, they wrote to individuals of IRCU. He said that some letters came late to the people that they were addressed to .
Kazimba Mugalu said that they have guided their brothers that if they have anything there is the secretariat and they have the secretary general. and the current meeting they did it well (the opposition leaders) that is why they met with them.
