President Museveni has said it is just a matter of time and ADF will end up in the dustbin of history. Giving his new year message on Sunday, the president said the Ugandan army, UPDF will not give in on bombing and attacking ADF hideouts until they feel the heat and lose the appetite to attack Uganda. The UPDF has in a joint operation code named ‘Shuja’ with the Congolese army of FARDC since December 2021 attacked ADF hideouts inside DRC. A number of the groups’ fighters and commanders have either been killed in action or captured alive by the Ugandan army whereas several of the group’s camps have been destroyed.
