In a solemn address at the annual Youth Convention in Bweranyanyi, Bushenyi district, Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni, the Bishop of West Ankole Diocese has expressed deep concern over the increasing levels of indecency, pedophilia, and a lack of patience and respect for elders and leaders among Ugandans.
The bishop emphasized the urgency of addressing these issues that, according to him, have surpassed imagination, as many Ugandans strive to align with Western influences, often neglecting their traditional norms and values.
Rt. Rev. Twinomujuni remarked that this current generation has embraced a culture of self-promotion, deviating from the values that once defined our society.
During his sermon, the bishop specifically highlighted the growing cases of indecency, especially among females, noting a shift in behavior compared to earlier generations.
Bishop Twinomujuni said Unlike before, the youth now engage in behaviors that seem to prioritize self-image over preserving our cultural values.
