Social media users have been urged to appropriately utilize their media handles to benefit from content creation, earn money, connect with friends, access job opportunities, share information, and educate others, among other benefits.
This was stated yesterday by the Worldwide Bakonzo United TikTokers during their official group constitution amendments and membership registration of over 500 TikTokers held at Railway Primary School in Kasese Municipality.
Speaking to Ms. Evelyn Kabugho, the group chairperson, explained the purpose of their general meeting.
Their mission is part of a 5-year strategic plan for development.
Ms. Evelyn called other users to join and start benefiting from their social media presence.
She indicated that they have been promoting their region’s attractions to boost the local economy through tourism.
Musoki Barbra, aka Mama Kash, the vision bearer who initially helped with Mbambu Dorothy’s eye surgery, explained how she was touched and came up with the idea.
According to Mr. Bwambale Jackson, a group member, and other members, social media doesn’t have to be a war zone or a site for vulgar language.
The formation of the Worldwide Bakonzo United TikTokers aims to provide emotional, practical, and financial support to individuals and families facing challenges and contribute to making special occasions like weddings, giveaways, and burials more meaningful.
