Over 300 million will be used in constructing the Kamulikwizi drainage channel by techno 3, a construction company that is constructing Mbogo yabwe road in Nyamwamba division in Kasese municipality.
This comes at a time when floods have for a long time been a challenge to the people in the area especially residents of Nyakasanga west.
Speaking to Ramadhan Monday LC 1 Of Nyakasanga West thanked government for having considered the construction of this drainage channel that had been a challenge to residents especially during the rainy season.
He further urged residents to keep this drainage channel clean and shouldn’t turn it into a dumping site for their garbage.
Speaking to various leaders at Nyamwamba division headquarters, they highlighted more on the construction of kamulikwizi drainage channel that is going to stretch for 3km. they however advised residents to be cooperative as the construction goes on and they should avoid constructing houses in water passages.
