Pretty Banks shares her early struggles in the music industry, including a disappointing encounter with Eddy Kenzo’s Big Talent Entertainment.
During her early days in music, Pretty Banks sought help from Eddy Kenzo, hoping for mentorship or an opportunity to be recognized.
She reached out to him via Instagram, and to her surprise, Kenzo responded, asking her to visit his office in Makindye.
However, the meeting did not go as she had hoped. When she arrived at Big Talent’s offices, she didn’t get a chance to meet Kenzo directly. Instead, she was directed to the receptionist.
Kenzo didn’t meet me. When he was coming from his office, I set myself up and waved my hands to get his attention.
He asked me, ‘Who are you?’ and I responded, ‘I’m the girl you talked to on Instagram, and you told me to come and talk to the receptionist.’ He then said, ‘Oh, she should work on you.’
Despite her excitement at seeing Kenzo in persona describing him as both good-looking and intimidating, the experience quickly turned discouraging.
