Preparations for the 43rd Tarehe Sita Anniversary in Busesa, Bugweri District, are in full swing as the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) and sister security forces conducted extensive rehearsals for parade drills and associated protocols on Sunday.
The parade rehearsal, witnessed by Chief of Defence Forces General Wilson Mbasu Mbadi and other top army officials, showcased the meticulous preparations.
Brigadier General Rwashande, Chief of Civil-Military Cooperation, expressed confidence in the readiness of every sector for the upcoming celebrations on Tuesday, February 6, 2023.
“We are in the last preparations of Tarehe Sita celebrations… We have found everything ready, waiting for D-Day,” Brig. Gen. Rwashande affirmed.
He highlighted the significance of the Defence Forces Week, stating,
“The Defence Forces Week aims to give back to the people as a token of appreciation for their contribution towards the liberation of Uganda.”
The UPDF is set to handover various projects, especially engineering works, across the 10 districts of Busoga on Monday.
