The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has officially commenced its mobilisation efforts in the Rwenzori region, with events taking place in Busoro sub-county in kabarole district as part of the preparations for the upcoming presidential campaign trail, set to begin in Kasese and bunyangabu on December 4, 2025.
During a gathering aimed at engaging the youth, Kawamala Miseach, a presidential advisor on mobilisation, emphasized the importance of integrity among young leaders. He urged the youth to refrain from spreading falsehoods about their leaders especially those in charge of parish development model funds.
Youth leaders present at the event raised concerns about the various challenges they face, which often lead them to consider opposition parties. Issues such as unemployment, lack of funding for projects, and inadequate access to education were highlighted as significant barriers that divert their attention from the NRM’s vision.
In a related development, Hon. Kisembo Joram, the Democratic Front Party candidate for Bunyangabu constituency, has taken proactive measures to combat unemployment in the district. He has inaugurated a skills center in Nyakigumba Town Council aimed at providing vocational training to the youth, equipping them with essential skills to enhance their employability.
As the campaign trail approaches, both the NRM and opposition parties appear to be intensifying their efforts to connect with the youth, who play a crucial role in shaping the political landscape in the region.
According to the campaigning program of President museveni, on 4th December he will be in kasese and bunyangabu, on 5th December he will be in bundibugyo and ntoroko, on 6th December he will be in kitagwenda, kabarole and fort Portal city.
