The nominations at Kyadondo party headquarters attracted almost 2000 for parliamentary, LC5, Municipality and City Mayors. Among these were cabinet and state Ministers who got nominated and hit the ground to solicit for votes.

Among other ministers that lost is David bahati for Ndorwa West. He rejected the results. He lost to Eliab Naturinda who gernered 25,027 votes defeating bahati who obtained 23,759 votes.

Other ministers that could have lost include Rose lilly Akello woman MP karenga district, Musa Ecweru of amuria county, peace mutuuzo, woman MP bunyangabu, Victoria Rusoke woman MP kabarole district, ngobi gume Fredrick bulamogi North West, Fred bwino kyakulaga kigulu north, jenipher Namuyangu woman MP kibuku among others.

What could be the cause of this overwhelming sweep in cabinet, Ali Kusemererwa a political analyst said this could have been caused by poor service delivery in their areas. He also highlighted the detachment that is there between the voters and their candidates.

He further indicated that NRM primaries were married with violence and voter bribery in some areas and this could have affected the results.
