President Museveni has said that government will provide assistance to musicians in recording their songs. In his new year message on Sunday, the president also emphasized that the government will ensure the protection of artists’ innovations through copyright law. Museveni mentioned his meeting with renowned singer Edrisa Musuuza, popularly known as Eddy Kenzo, regarding these matters. Musuuza briefed him on critical issues pertaining to copyright and broader reforms aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the entertainment industry.
