Regardless of Kasese District being endowed naturally with massive water bodies including lakes and rivers, accessibility to clean water for home use remains a huge burden.

With limited tapped water in various villages, the problem is far reaching in that school going children end up becoming absent because of trekking long distances close 5 km in such of water.

At Mubuku Town council in particular villages such as, Mabale, Mubuku upper and Lower among others are victims leaving residents to recount their sufferings.

In an interview with Rwenzori Tv yesterday, Angela Hakiza a resident and Chairperson Mubuku women walking witnesses explained that locals have been held in wrangles in the process of lining and waiting to fetch water from the available few taps.

Charles Businge the Mubuku Town council councilor at the District disclosed that leaders efforts to address the challenge have always gone begging.

However a ray of hope has hit the locals of Mubuku as Rwenzori full gospel church Sacco through their friends in America under their organization called walking witnesses international have donated items including pipes cement among others to support water supply in the area.

Some of local testified that the donation is going to increase water supply and give them relief including supporting kitchen gardens among others.
