Mbayahi Gadi Bakwanamaha was the former prime minister of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu finally resigned to join politics and NUP gave him a flag but he was not nominated after failing to meet the nomination requirements.
According to Mutoma Robert, NUP flag bearer of Kasese municipality confirmed that they have suspended their rallies because the party has lost an important person adding that they shall resume the campaign rallies after the sendoff in Kinyamaseke, Bukonzo East, Kasese district.
Cleusi Bwambale NUP aspirant MP Bukonzo east said he was his seconder and campaign mobilizer now he has lost an important person but he left a legacy in the district.
Japhali Kigutiha Rwenzururu subject said Rwenzururu has lost a fighter because he was a prime minister by the time the king was detained, he worked hard to see that the king is released and the royal guards.
The family members asked the police to investigation the death of their beloved person asking the surporters of NUP, people of Rwenzori and Kasese to remain calm
Brian Basisa the NUP chairperson Kasese confirmed that NUP president has confirmed to be the chief mourner and call all NUP supporters to come on Saturday in Kinyamaseke in Bukonzo east to witness the sendoff of late Gadi Mbayahi Bakwanamaha.
