Mulhondi Selevano Warns against voters bribery and rigging During NRM Primaries.
Mulhondi Selevano, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Chairperson for Kasese Municipality, has issued a stern warning to candidates who intend to bribe voters or else ferry them from various places to come and vote in kasese municipality.
Speaking to journalists at verina gardens in kasese town, Selevano expressed concern over reports of vote rigging through ferrying voters to vote in kasese municipality.
He further warned candidates involved in ferrying voters from other constituencies to cast ballots, stating that any such activities will lead to immediate arrests.
Selevano’s remarks come amid rising tension within the campaigns, with allegations of vote manipulation and misconduct.
Masereka Gideon black chairperson NRM Central division urged candidates and their supporters to desist from bribery for a free and fair election.
In a related development, hon Diana Nasuna sempebwa yesterday at NRM rally at rwenzori square she cited examples of ferrying voters in saluti A and kemihoko by certain candidates which left her supporters surprised.
She further said voters are being bribed in kanyangeya by providing them a kilo of rice and others 20,000 each.
Party officials are hopeful that, with the right measures, the electoral process will proceed smoothly and transparently.
