13 groups of residents living and having land in Rwimi, ibuga, kisanga-bigando, nkoko, kirembe, butsumba, bwenanure, rwehingwa and rwentuntu have to today flocked CAO’S office Mr elyasi byamungu petitioning him to intervene in their land issues that have for a long time been disturbing in these areas. These matters come at a time when the cattle keepers have had land wrangles with the cultivators that reside in those areas. It is said that over 20,000 cultivators have been displaced by cattle keepers in these areas. According to Biira Grace the team leader of complaints from kisanga- ibuga said that local leaders in kasese have failed to settle their land matters amicably and hence they will resort to violence.
