Mpondwe Fish Market, at the Uganda-DRC border, has witnessed a significant boom in business activity, attracting fish traders from both sides of the border. However, the trade booming has been marred by disagreements between truck loaders/offloaders, locally known as bombérè, and employers over low wages.
