About Us

The Rwenzori Community Television offers public access, educational, and government (PEG)   programming so as to produce and broadcast creative concepts. The Rwenzori Community Television offer several ways to capture local community unique concepts and bring the broadcast vision to reality. The TV operates Cable Channel, as well as YouTube channel and Facebook page to provide developmental, political and cultural information and nurture the transformative minds and creative talents of the community members. The TV is a supporter of rights to freedom of speech and freedom of press, encouraging respectful discourse and practicing responsible media in all its forms. The TV strives to offer employment positions for those seeking careers in the media.

To create an informational, developmental and cultural platform for over 3 million people through satellite TV cable television broadcasts and Internet based apps.

Purpose Statement
  1. To broadcast quality digital productions that will draw people to this channel. Our programming will be educational, through entertaining, exciting, and inspiring media.
  2. Through 24 hour broadcasting, the TV determines to make available to other producers of quality programs the opportunity to air their programs thus exposing them to a wider audience and in turn expanding these ministries.
  3. To ensure a wide selection of quality programming, we provide professional translation services, in addition to our broadcast services.
  Goal Promote an educated, informed and diverse community by supporting high-quality engaging content and services created, developed, executed by diverse talent at all levels and capacities, and delivered across multiple platforms.

  • Facilitate the development and distribution of high-quality content, including news and information that is accurate, fair, balanced, objective, transparent, and produced in a manner that is consistent with editorial integrity by all involved.
  • Support efforts to strengthen community engagement with diverse organizations and institutions.
  • Promote and support collaborations, consolidations and  partnerships to increase capacity to provide essential and diverse service.
